The strength of the testing laboratory lies in its modern equipment and professional and trained staff, who carry out fast and reliable testing services.  The development of the quality system provided for the up-to-date functioning of the testing laboratory, in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 and BAS EN ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

The testing laboratory was accredited in 2004 pursuant to the  BAS EN ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Decision no. LI-09.01 confirmed its capacity and competence for carrying out 60 different accredited standard testing methods and liquid petroleum products sampling.  

The testing laboratory staff are engineers and technicians with rich experience, skills and knowledge in the field of testing petroleum products, related products and chemicals. We are constantly working on acquiring new knowledge, introducing new testing methods and training our staff to enable them to handle new testing equipment/devices.

Regular participation in international inter-laboratory testing schemes (Institute for Interlaboratory Studes – IIS, Spijkenisse, the Netherlands) speaks in favor of the qualification and precision of our laboratory staff.   

Primary goal of the testing laboratory is to provide services to other Oil Refinery Modrica departments. The testing laboratory is included in the entire workflow of basic oil mixture processing  (BUS), production of basic oils and paraffin, lubricants, functional fluids, as well as the in the process of industrial water production and the quality testing of waste water.
Testing results are a trade secret, and they are treated accordingly. All users of our testing services, upon their request, are granted access to the on-site testing of their samples.
